I already went through troubleshooting, such as securing all cords/cables, moving the TV to a different location...... any other suggestions?
its super annoying.

Is that normal? I know i have good hearing but it drives me nuts!

When a television has a high pitched hum, it is usually the high voltage circuitry. The pitch is about 15.750 Kilohertz and it is near the end of human hearing range. Most older people can't hear it, but dogs and cats and some other animals can hear it and they get upset. Sometimes people will get sick because of it.
You need to take the TV to the shop or have them come and get it and work on the horizontal high voltage section. The Vertical circuit oscillates at only 60 hertz, so if that were bad, you would hear the low pitched hum you sometimes here from a radio.
The TV repairman should be able to get you straightened out, and since your new TV is under warantee, it should not cost you anything and most times a shop will loan you something to watch until your TV is completed.

Depending on what kind of set it is; it might be by design. But for the most part it usually means that the power suppy (ballast or transformer) is bad. Take it back. If it's past the thirty days most companies will cover it under warranty. Easy fix, won't hurt the tv, at all. Expect the person fixing it to take about 45 minutes to fix it, in home.

It is most likely the power supply, and it is most likely the design of the tv. Since they have become so inexpensive, the manufacturers use much cheaper power supplies than they used to. Also if you are a woman you will be more sensitive to it, because women hear better than men.. I would swap it out for a new one just to eliminate the possibility of a defect, if you still hear it you may need to experiment with a different set..

in case you've only had it a month and it became offered at a proper save then you definately are entitled to an entire refund, free restoration or alternative lower than the Sale of things Act. it is the save no longer the producer who's to blame for this.

I had a TV that did that and it NEVER went away. I would bang on the top of it once or twice and it would stop temporarily, maybe for a few minutes. I would take it back if you can. It is incredibly annoying!
