i got a ps3 for Christmas, it is the second one my family has purchased, the first one we have had no issues with. this morning when i took it out of the box ,with my dad, and pugged it in the yellow light comes on and it beeps until we press the power button again. i have read that the yellow light comes on when it has overheated, but how could it have overheated if its never been on.... (thats not my question) so what i wanted to know is there anything we can do without sending it back to sony??

I just got a new ps3 (60gb) and first tried guitar hero 3. When I put the disc in, it said I had to update the firmware. So I did, and I keep getting error 8002F14E. I've tried rebooting, unplugging, everything I can think of. It won't let me go back to the menu, I'm stuck at that screen. What should I do?

I'm using a ethernet cable that came with my modem and when i test the connection it doesn't obtain the ip adress please help.

Hi I need some game recommendations please. For PS2 I have Viewtiful Joe, Twisted Metal Black, and Tony Hawk's Underground. For PS3 I have Madden 07, NBA Live 08, The Bigs, Resistance Fall of Man, and Heavenly Sword. What are some great games I will have a lot of fun with? When I play PS3 Games the game it self will load, but not the Main/Start Up Screen. I'm not able to play any PS2 games at all, nothing will load what so ever and my TV say's there is no signal. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I found out that call of duty 4 in ps3 has a weirder control movement than Xbox. The analog stick in ps3 that control the person watching up and down is different than Xbox 360. When you move the stick up the person look down, when you move the stick down the person look up. So it hard to control like that. I usaully stick to the oppisite way like up to up and down to down. Why can it be the same way as all the old call of duty control up up, down down?

I have the halo 3 special edition 360, and on first powerup I got the red ring of death. However, I shut it down, called tech support. (with lost signal later and couldn't call them back). Minutes later, my dad got the brilliant idea of moving it to a newer tv and test it. Since MS says wait 10 seconds and try again to see if it works, we waited 10 minutes. Now, it works...but I don't know if it can happen again and if I have a faulty Xbox. Any advice? Do I have a faulty system?
