That depends on the router type: b, g, etc. Military routers can get more than 100 km. Home routers are around 10-30m (depends on the type). Also amount of walls and the material they are made of, important too. PS3 uses b/g wi-fi type (range of 32 m (120 ft) indoors and 95 m (300 ft) outdoors).
