It's one of the most wanted functions. It's not possible yet, but there are solid rumors, that this function will be included in one of the next updates.

At the moment you are not able to, but there is only 1 game you can actually play your own music and that's High Velocity Bowling which you can find on the PlayStation Store. It does not cutout the sound effects of the game, but it does replace the cheezy background music as you play. Hopefully sometime in the future that you will be able to play your own music.

No, you can't listen to your own music while playing games, you can only listen to music on the XMB main menu or while you are using the PS3's browser to surf the web.
But a new update that will allow that feature might be added in the future.

No u cannot, because the game u will be playing has its own sound effects,, so u wont be able to listen to music at the same time, as it can read only oner version of the music codes.

well u can put songs on it and listen to them like u can with the ps3 same with vids and photos and it can play more typs of vids but im sticking to mp4 converter so it compresses the memary and it can play more typs of songs too u can also go to youtube.com and watch stuff off there too and i think mtv works on it too but u cant listen to them will playing the games but i think theres gooing to be a software up date some time in the futere to do that
