i just bought my ps3 but i need to know if i can make a pic in my pic folder my home backround???plz help?

you can do a number of things

go on the internet browser and find one you like and save it or
the slightly harder way
if you have a myspace photobucket or any blog websight save the picture then do it

or the really easy but expensive way.......
buy a memory stick and save the files on to the stick put it in your ps3 and WALA pictures

Yes you can. Once you have a pic loaded on your ps3, load the picture to view the picture, then press the Triangle button, then you'll see an "Options" menu pop up look for the option that says "Set as Wallpaper" and press the X button, then it will ask you to set the wallpaper. Once you have set the wallpaper press the X button and a "confirmation" screen will appear. Select Yes and press press the Circle button to back out to the XMB and you voila you should be able to see your background.

Yes you can make any picture that you have saved on the hard drive as your background.

All you do is select the picture and view the picture so that it fills up the screen and then press Triangle and then go to "Set as Wallpaper".
