I just want to buy something and OWN it for crying out loud. Why do we have to buy something, and then have to PAY MONTHLY to use it?

Anyone know of a DVR that just works when you buy it?

Thanks.

My son's Christmas concert is today at school and I forgot to charge the camcorder last night. If the school will allow me to, can I actually use the camcorder while the charger is on and plugged into the wall in the auditorium, and not have the battery die on me?

I have to leave the house in an hour.

His part in the program is only for about ten minutes or less..

I know that you can fast forward through commercials on a dvr from the Dish providers, but I'm wondering if you can completely cut them out and get rid of them when you save the show so that they will be gone if you want to watch the show again. I presently have a dvd recorder with a hard drive which allows me to do this, but I would like to know if you can do this with the dvrs provided by dish companys, particularly Dish Network.

My two teens are asking for "ipods" for christmas. I went shopping yesterday, and wound up buying two Zunes, due to information from the salesperson that Ipods must go thru Itunes, even to copy a song from your computer to the Ipod. He mentioned that Microsoft Zune can download songs from Limewire, rip songs right from your computer files. that it was less complicated to use than the Ipod. I'm debating whether to exchange the Zunes for Ipods (same exact price). I'm new to the MP3 game. Which one do you think is better for a 15 year old? Also, I've heard that many computer viruses have been transferred thru LimeWire. I'm aware that it's a file sharing program. Will my antivirus software protect my computer from virus associated with LimeWire downloads? Thanks for any advice for this MP3 newbie.

Okay, my first iPod is my iPod mini, and it is connected to one of my apple accounts, and it is linked to the CANADA store.

Now, I'm getting the new iPod touch, but I want to buy TV shows, and stuff for my iPod.. and the US store provides WAY more TV shows than the Canada store does.

So my question is this;
If I make a new account, and even though I'm not living in the US, my dad has a US credit card (and yes, it works and is valid) can I put on my account that I live in the US, therefore getting access to the store?

And this is really important; I don't live in Canada anymore, but my sister is brining me 2, 100$ iTunes cards. Will these cards (that are bought in Canada) work with the US store, or just the Canada store?

THANKYOU, so much!
best answer will be chosen=]
