Programming & Design - December 2006

I had previously taken a few programming courses at a college ... C++, HTML , VB to name a few. But I dropped out. This was a few years ago.

I want to go back now, however I'm still debating what I should really be taking given the range of IT areas available today.

Web designing looks interesting.... (see the link below), and the courses being offered at Seneca college ... is this a good choice, I'm making?

What about the new .NET technology? Should I be looking into that? and finally someone recommended I should look into an MCSE certification course, what do u think?

On almost every web page I go to, somewhere on the web page, I get the message, "this page cannot be displayed". Preceding this message is a small box with a lowercase i colored blue in it. I'm assuming that this is the symbol for internet explorer. I've tried everything I can to adjust ie but can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Write a program to process a text file. The program will determine how many unique words there are in the text file that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The text file name will be given as a command line argument to the program.


Sample Output:
4 words beginning with 'a'/'A':
a, also, and, always
2 words beginning with 'b'/'B':
be, both
:
0 words beginning with 'z'/'Z'

Letter with that began the most words was 'a'/'A'

I am a f.Yr student of B.com(hons). I am very concerned about my master degree which i have planned to do in computer application(I.T.).So i started to collect loads of information about it.To get benefitted in the M.C.A program i entered into a 2 yrs diploma course in software technology which i am about to finish within 6 months.Everyday to collect information about the M.C.A entrance exam i surf the internet for 3 to 4 hrs,visit any place where i can get slightest information about the M.C.A program.Even i spend plenty of time studying for the software technology course but these stuffs created a gap within me and the preparation for the final yr B.Com(hons).I am seriously neglecting my B.COM but at the same time i have to collect informations so that i dont have to waste any time after my graduation in collecting informations when i should seriously prepare 4 my M.C.A entrance.
Please send me solutions how can i overcome this problem

Google wants me to create an xml sitemap, but their sitemap creator instructions confuse me. I think it is meant for a website that is just getting uploaded or created. Mine has been established for six years, has hundred of pages, not to mention graphics, and I continually add new stuff. Is there a free program out there for me, that can give me a completed sitemap in a couple of hours and is easy to add new stuff to?
