You'll need PowerPoint or PowerPoint Viewer to view the image.

1. View the PowerPoint Show until you get to the image you want to copy.

2. When you get to the image, press the Print Screen button on your keyboard.

3. Open Paint by going to Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Paint

4. Use Edit --> Paste to paste the screen shot into Paint.

5. Find the marquee tool in the toolbox at the upper left of the screen. It is an icon of a dotted-square box. Click on that.

6. Draw a square around the image you want to keep.

7. Choose Edit --> Copy

8. Choose File --> New. When prompted if you want to save changes to untitled, click No.

9. Choose Edit --> Paste

10. If you see white space around the image you just pasted in, put your cursor over the lower right-hand corner of the white space, until your cursor changes into a diagonal, two-headed arrow. Then, hold down the left mouse button and drag the corner up to meet the lower-right-hand corner of your picture.

11. Choose File --> Save

12. In the Save as type pull-down menu, chose JPEG

13. Select a place to save the picture, give it a name and click Save.

14. Close Paint.
