What is the difference between acrobat & adobe?

When I try to downoad something I will get an error "acrobat external window handler" how do I fix it and where can I download what ever I need for free?

Adobe is the company that makes the product "Acrobat." If you are receiving errors when trying to view a PDF file, uninstall any Adobe Acrobat product through your "Add/Remove Programs" control panel option, and visit: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
