do you think you could help me with a couple of these questions?

1) since computers use base 2 why do humans insist on using base 10?
2) what are the advantages of using base 10 for people?
3) why do computers and calculators utilize the base 2?
4) what are some examples of where we use the base 2 system in everyday life?

1)Probably humans oriented to base 10 because we have 10 fingers and 10 toes.

2)I'm not sure there are advantages, although intrinsically you can represent larger numbers with less digits when compared to smaller base number systems.

3)Computers use base 2, because they are based on integrated circuits that like a light switch, have one of two states (charge, no charge/ on,off/ 0, 1)

4)A light switch. Any appliance that you turn on/off.

1) First of all, it was "Humans" who invented computers. So the question should actually be: "Even though we use base 10, why did we make computers to use binary?".
2) Only because we are used to it. I am sure that if God had made us with just eight fingers, we will be using "base 8" to count.
3) I think it is because of the limitations of electronics. We can only store a "0" or "1" in a single "bit" of storage (i.e.) a switch is either on or off. Unless someone finds a way to store more than two numbers in a "bit", computers will continue to use "base 2".
4) Cant think of any.

1) most humans prefer base 10, as our hands and economic systems are rooted in base 10.
2) see 1
3) computers and calculators use base 2 because electronic switches can be either "on" or "off." this type of yes/no decision making is the basis for logical circuit design.
4) any where a value can be one of two possible is an example of base 2:
were you drunk at the time?
is the stove on?
are we there yet?
do these make me look fat?

These are examples of base 2 in everyday life.
