I have written a book which is on PDF and I now wish to alter the text. Is there any way I can convert the text back to Microsoft Word, so I can retype alterations or - is there any other way?

You can copy/paste text from PDFs to Word, but a lot of the formatting will not come through properly.
You can convert from PDF to Word using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.

You should always keep one copy of your work in the original format (eg a word doc) and not delete it after you save it as a PDF. The whole point of PDF is that the text can't be copied or altered.
How did you convert it to PDF?

you could copy the text from the pdf into a word doc, otherwise you'd have to have the pro version of acrobat to convert it back and forth.

I have just done a "copy and paste " from PDF to Word and it seems to work , try it, I did "Select all" and then copy .

use for editing).

you need adobe proffessional which allows modification of pdf files.
