trying to make a website to sell my photography. I want it to look professional and stylish, like a classy online gallery. I am not sure if I should try to build it myself or hire someone else to do it. Should I register the domain name first before anything?

My background's mainly in C/C++/Java. I'm working on some .JS and .JSP files and I have a var, let's say <%=filename%> that has backslashes in it. They're getting converted to chars instead of being maintained. Is there a func that will take a var string "C:\doc" and maintain it as "C:\\doc" or do I have to walk the string by hand?

I have replaced IE6 with IE7 and now I can't find the Edit icon (for editing a page with Notepad or Word).
Have they done away with it altogether? If so, how the h**** do I edit my web pages?

I am using access to compare two tables. It shows 5 pieces of information, date, first name, last name, case and status. There is 8 different status'.Is there a way to total each status in a table so I dont have to count them as there is over a few 100 cases each day in this report?

Intellisync4yahoo with outlook 03. worked fine in win2k. In XP SP2 it compares the folders and when it procedds to write the data I get the message "Unable to write or update application". will the "coexistence" patch from Intellisync help? I am afraid to screw up things further by applying wrong patches. the intellisync4yahoo download page says it works with XP so.............

well i am not able to understand how i can form a page

are there any tips on html , or programs you can use to send a better looking email.
