View... Header and Footer - you can then use the toolbar to put in common fields like page number.

To set a header, click on View, then Headersand Footers. A blank box will open up. Click on view again and select Toolbars and a checkmark by the Standard and Formatting toolbars so you can see the formatting. To put your name in the right corner, use the bottom toolbar which will have a stacked A, B (bold), I (italics) U (underline) and three little boxes that denote left, center and right. Click on the right so the cursor goes to the right corner of the header box. Type your last name and press Enter. In a small box below the header there is a # sign. Click on that to set the page number. Then in the small box again, click on the far right that says Close and close the header.
You now have a header set up like you wanted. You might want to print these instructions for use the first time. After that, you'll be able to set up headers.

In word, go to

Insert > Page Numbers

then make sure right is selected and press ok. The page number will be placed there and allow you to put other info in there as well. To get out of the header edit area, just click below in the document. To open it up again,

View > Headers and Footers

and then format your header.
