and also i want to burn a dvd for a friend and he has a dvd player and when i burn dvds i play on the xbox which needs a record speed x2 for dvd players can i just burn it normal max speed or like the xbox.......thanks!

I am trying 2 install XP on an older computer (had windows 98) for my grandaughter 2 use on the internet. Compatability check was ok. Install was ok, but when it trys 2 go into windows for the first time it freezes up. I can go in to safe mode. Device manager shows a yellow "?" for the video driver-VGA compatable. XP has no drivers. Could this be the problem??? Or is it something else? I think that the computer is a home put together from different systems. If this is the problem, where could I possibly find the driver on the internet? The video card is in PCI slot 1 according to device manager. If someone could tell me where 2 look for the slot, maybe I can find the manufacturer if I need 2. First I need 2 know if this is the problem. Please help this poor old Grandma!

I was on an HTML tutorial site that directed me to view the source code for a particular web page: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478141

When I did this (click view, then click source) nothing happened, there was no window that opened containing the code. I had a friend of mine try it out on his lap top and it worked for him with no problem...

What can I do to correct this problem.

lots of people have been telling me that the site may have an HTML guard on it to prevent the viewg of code...but I don't think so. If part of the tutorial was to view the code for the web page listed above then I don't think the site owner used any protections...

Some relatives want me to build a website for their business and i have agreed to go for it providing lot of functionality and not just static HTML pages. But where should i start? Ok, I have a database in access right, it is a database that monitors sales and stock for a computer store. I have a field called In_Stock in a tblItems. The primary key for this table is called Item_ID. There is a table called tblAssets that contains a field called Items and has a relationship to the Item_ID field in tblItems. I want the In_stock field to loop through each record tblassets, look into the field items, check if the field is the same as the field in tblItems - Item_ID and if it is, add one to In_Stock.


Can anyone help me?

(Sorry, that might be pretty hard to understand, but its prob the only way you can explain it lol)

I've created a website in C# but I want to use some functions I've written in Visual Basic without converting them. I tried including them in a VB class, but when I try to browse to the page it gives me the error message:

The files '/Trader/App_Code/VbFunctions.vb' and '/Trader/App_Code/MyNamespace.cs' use a different language, which is not allowed since they need to be compiled together

There must be a way to do this without creating a DLL and registering it in the project. Please help.

How can I use javascript to scan a local directory and display the files in the browser as if it were really a directory listings page? I could manually make a directory listings page but I would like something that would automatically update itself when new files are added to the directory. I'm using a free web hosting service for a current project and would very much like the directory listings page but the host does not allow PHP. Please do not suggest other hosts or to manually make the page. If you can tell me how to use javascript to complete this task, please let me know. Thanks!

My system got corrupted and I had to re-install Windows XP. I made a back up, and formatted the entire disk.

I can get to the point where files are copied to the destination file, and it would re-boot.

However instead of launching a Windows GUI environment, performing the next operation and Setup Wizard coming on to Regional and Language operations, I go right back to Welcome to Setup.

I tried it many times and it seems to just loops in the same cycle over and over.

Can anyone help me?

The code is too long for me to be able to display it here but it has prompt boxes which store your name, job, etc in a double demention array and I want to display that on a table so the viewer can look at their information. how can I do that?

when i receive an email, sometimes the information sent to me,is off center and to the right so far that it can not be read, and i can not bring it back to the left. This is ONLY when there is NO Curser Bar at the bottom. How can you bring it back toward left side to read?????????

I have seen a rar file under a .jpg extention

the weird thing is. when you double click the .jpg a picture shows up (that is normal)

but opening up the .jpg file with WinRAR.. and you would have a bunch of files ( the .jpg is an archive too!)
