My system got corrupted and I had to re-install Windows XP. I made a back up, and formatted the entire disk.

I can get to the point where files are copied to the destination file, and it would re-boot.

However instead of launching a Windows GUI environment, performing the next operation and Setup Wizard coming on to Regional and Language operations, I go right back to Welcome to Setup.

I tried it many times and it seems to just loops in the same cycle over and over.

Can anyone help me?

When it says boot from CD, do NOT press any buttons on the keyboard. If you do the Setup process will loop again as you say. Just let it boot on its own into the setup mode and proceed with the installation. Viola!

Once the system reboot, hold fast DEL key to get inside system bios. Change your boot sequence, use IDE instead of booting to CD!

you might try booting up in safemode , disabling the system restore, then reformat your disk. (I know this is repititous) then when doing the install be sure to do a new installation. It should work.
