I tried using the print screen button for screenshot purposes but it doesn't work. What could be the probable reason and please help me fix it

the "help and support" option in my start doesnt give any result.??
while playing games (stored in my computer)"contents" and "help" option doesnt bring any result.. so that i can know how 2 play that game??? (it used to work before) plzz help!!

i'm not a techno freak, but i guess it's called a flat panel or something like that. but it's really sensitive to touch and most any touch could leave a permanent damage mark on it. there's a couple dirt spots on it though and i don't know know i would clean it w/o hurting the moniter.
