A friend downloaded a show for me.Only problem, he put it on cd not dvd-orplus r.When i play it .I get only sd

Some one recorded a show on CD instead of dvd disk.ON my friends computer it plays but on mine all i get is sound.What am i doing wrong? IVE updated my windows media player.
