do you know which one is a hard disk drive or ideo. i bought this book about hacking windows xp, i want change the boot order of the drives. i pressed f2 when the logo came on then i got into the bios screen. there where all of these words like USB FDD:, IDE HDD: FUJITSU MHT2040AH-CPM), USB HDD:, IDE CDROM: SONYCD-RW/DVD ROMCRX830E-CSM, PCI LAN: Broadcom MBA. i don't understand it, i even searched google and couldn't understand it. the book said i had to put the hard disk drive at the top of the list. can anyone help me with this? i need this compooper technological stuff dumbed down for me.

When I get to the choice of a network printer or a private printer it won't let me pick a private printer and when I type a name in for the printer it says it is invalid

I am not very knowledgeable about computers and am looking for what is easier to use. I also a voice activated typing program and am wondering how that will work with a mac. Also should I spend the extra money to with the macpro or just buy a macbook, if a mac is the best.

I have a Gateway ME PC. I installed an HP5200c in April. I tried to remove it and it would not uninstall after numerous attempts. Neither through HP uninstall or Add/Remove Programs. I deleted several files starting with hp. I finally was able to remove the scanner but was left with a message at each start up from then on that reads ( ERROR STARTING PROGRAM at top of window box then it reads, ......The MPSVCP60.DLL file is linked to missing export MSVCRT.DLL:_lc_collate_cp.
Now I am no longer able to downoad program software or upgrades online.
I tried to use the GoBack feature but it will not go back beyond the day of the changes made. How can I fix this? HeLP!

My computer mouse is acting up. It doesn't seem to want to move the pointer on the screen. I think it needs to be cleaned, but I dont know how to do it. I was wondering if anybody could give me some suggestions on how to clean it.

I have a laptop from the early 80s that was upgraded to Windows 95 a while ago. It normally runs very well, but lately I can't open up the diary file on it. I found out that the file is 776 kbs, as opposed to the average 10kbs that most wordpad files are. Is this why I can't open the file? If so, can I transfer this to a floppy disk (the laptop doesn't ahve a disk drive)?

not the brand name. In filling out something, it asked for my computers name, and the brand name did not work. I know the computer has a name composed of letters and numbers. Where do I look for these, and how do I get there?
