How can I restore the dial tone of my modem?

Depends what type modom if you are running windows ANY 98 as of july 10 it will be obslete and from what i understand if you try to sign on after that date you comp will crash there may be updates for systems running win 98 IF SO please someone post so i can check it out thanks not sure have to check into this myself good luck

click on modem icon which appear in the tray. (Right handside down corner) & in the modem settings there should be a dialing tone volume setup. try that.
