I have a laptop from the early 80s that was upgraded to Windows 95 a while ago. It normally runs very well, but lately I can't open up the diary file on it. I found out that the file is 776 kbs, as opposed to the average 10kbs that most wordpad files are. Is this why I can't open the file? If so, can I transfer this to a floppy disk (the laptop doesn't ahve a disk drive)?

That doesn't sound like that big of a file, even for an old laptop. Perhaps it is corrupted? Also, if you can connect the machine to the internet, you can email the file or FTP it. Otherwise the floppy would work, as long as the computer you are copying it to also has a floppy.

You may be out of RAM (memory). It is possible to transfer it to a floppy disk, but you will have difficulty finding a disk drive that works w/ your PC. Why do you keep a PC that old, anyway?
