I changed my name about a week ago, and it's still "comfirming request". Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process???

There is loads of stuff which I don't think he'd be best please by!!!! It's as if the company what to spy on me !!!!

I wasn't sure about sending this message. Should have trusted to instinct cos now I can't sleep for worrying about the consequences and I'd rather have not sent it. Anyway I see that in the list of sent messages there is a delete option. If I delete my sent message will that prevent the recipient from reading it, or just prevent me from reading it?

Someone who knows plz.

Ok so yeh, my cuzin has facebook and some guy added her and he is like form a diff country and he has all these weird ppeps on his site, he knows her city ad state, age, and school, even her last name!! He is being really weird about adn wont leave her alone, plus, he is a lot older than her and she asked him wth he wasnted with her and how he got her site he will not tell her ..we are worried and we dont know what to do. If she tells her parents they will try to get into her bizz and will make her delete msn, and everything, we do not know how he got her site and why he added her. there is alot more but i dont have time to tell you basically we need to know what to do!!!!!!!

my wrote down my wrong year bday cuz i didnt know my highschool email, so im supposedly 38 years old, now i wanted to join it and they wont let me cuz im 38, so i told them i wanted to change my bday and now they deactivated my accoutn and said that they are gonna change my bday but first they hae to deactivate my account. and now its been 2 weeks and ive been emailing them and they wont fix it, they just keep saying there gonna do it, wen i tried signing in they told me to fill in this thing telling me to write my highschool and school email and they will send a reconfiramation thing to my school email but thats where i messed up. i messed up writing my email and now that thing wont come back and im emailing them @ disabled@facebook.com and I JUST CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!! please help, wut should i do??

I just opened a Facebook account instead of MySpace after seeing that Facebook seems much more strict on what they will show to a casual websurfer or to a registered Facebook member. The best I could do there when I found a person of interest is just see a very small profile photo of him/her (provided they have one), their full name, and only the list of Facebook Friends they have. Can't go any further unless he/she adds you as a Friend before you can see more stuff from them.

MySpace seems a lot more looser unless the user sets their page to private, otherwise anyone - registered or not - can see what you have and what information may be valuable to them, pertinent and/or incriminating (like embarrassing photos).

I'm concerned that when I apply for jobs, employers will attempt to research me on the 'net, and I read countless stories about employers using MySpace to research candidates. I figure Facebook is too restrictive for them to dig in.

Did I make the right choice?
