I wasn't sure about sending this message. Should have trusted to instinct cos now I can't sleep for worrying about the consequences and I'd rather have not sent it. Anyway I see that in the list of sent messages there is a delete option. If I delete my sent message will that prevent the recipient from reading it, or just prevent me from reading it?
Someone who knows plz.

Sorry, Curious Orange, but it only deletes it from your own "sent" folder; the other person will still receive the message. At this point, just hope you can play off whatever was so horrible about this message (and it's probably NOT as bad as you think it was).

Just delete it. If it prevents the person, great, but if it doesn't, oh well. At least you know you tried to do something about it.
You can also create another facebook account and test it out. See if it works.

I think it prevents the recipient from reading it, but I'm not really sure, to tell you the truth.
