Just now i found out that they snuck onto my computer to see what stuff I was doing (i don't do any bad stuff at all) how can i get their trust?

It is safe as long as your are careful. Don't accept people you don't know as your friends. Don't install applications that you don't trust (they could contain viruses and whatnot). If you are smart and use common sense, you should be fine.

MYSpace I get some very strange people finding me and then trying to sell me stuff I don't want or need. It's to easy to find people on MYSPACE.
Facebook I don't get the strange people and they can't find me as easy.
I would say the best tip is to NEVER use your full name!! For location just use your state.
If you don't know them, don't add them.
I so don't miss MYSPACE...I had creeps bugging me all the time and that isn't what I was on there for.
If you are under 18 let your parents see what is all about on FACEBOOK...knowledge is power.

Facebook is only as safe as you make it. It can be as sketchy as Myspace if you want it to be. On facebook, someone can list all their information, their address, their number, stuff like that. What makes Facebook seem so safe at least to me is that it has a classier set up. People can't put up sleazy pictures as their background, can't have fake slutty names, can't have music playing on their page. It is a more uniform site, keeping it classier, which makes it feel less sketchy.

Because facebook uses your real name, it's quite simple for a novice to work out enough of your personal details to attempt identity theft.

its not really so safe..... people just believe it is because of the "networks" where people can't see your profile if not in your network. true, this might protect you from rapists who have no computer knowledge but to true hacker, this is like taking candy from an infant. even mediocre hackers will be able to hack facebook and steal all your stuf and mess with everything. so really.. its not so safe...

As long as your profile is on private, and you only accept friends, and dont put personal info on it. Nobody can get your info then, +its harmless funn
