This is why I don't get on facebook or anything like it. My advice would bet to DELETE her facebook before it's too late. And call the police. This guy could be dangerous!!

Unfortunately, the down side of places like facebook, is that all that personal information makes it easier for stalkers etc to find victims. Some don't go much farther than online harrassment, but others are quite prepared to go to your home or school to find you. If they're not taking no for an answer on line, don't expect them to take no for an answer when you're face to face. This could lead to an abduction and/or physical harm.

It is possible that he has also figured out your cousin's password choices (especially if she uses common things like pet names which she may innocently reveal during chats or in her profile). She should immediately change her passwords.

She needs adult help. Her parents care and will do what they need to protect her. If she will not discuss it with her parents find someone else she trusts (teacher? your parents?). Finally, the police can help with these situations and may need to be involved.

If your cousin is worried about losing her computer privileges she could negotiate with her parents to keep her access to such things as MSN but with the computer in a public place in the house where her parents can monitor what she's doing. It may seem like a distasteful outcome, but it's better than losing the privileges and will help her avoid these problems in the future--and may bring her to a closer, better relationship with her parents.
I'm glad you're trying to help and have asked this question.
Please, do not treat this problem lightly.

:)

Facebook is probably the safest social networking site out there. Your cousin should have used the built in safety features and kept her profile more private.

Block the user immediately and set up more safeguards using the privacy settings. To do this click the "privacy" link at the top right of any page and go through the settings.

Okay but if he added her she has the option not to add him. Did she add him? and why if she doesn't even know him? What are her privacy settings set for? Can anyone look her up. If this guy has all of her personal info, and "claims" he's from another country, and has made threats or worse, the best thing for your cousin to do is to tell her parents and have them contact the police. You said there was more to the story so I don't know the whole situation but if the guy knows everything about her, I wouldn't take ANY chances. Good luck!

Delete him asap. Then block him from being able to view her profile. You do this by going to privacy settings. While in privacy settings she should ensure that no one is able to view her info. that she doesn't want to . Contact facebook and tell them what the problem is and report the person. If the problem persists she needs to contact the police and tell her parents (even though they should already know.) Also she shouldn't things up there like her address.

listen tell your cousin that even though she may not want to involve her parents its the right thing to do so what if they r in her biz they r her parents for a reason and being her parents means being in her business.....neways first what u need to do is if she has all of his info as well she needs to make a copy of it after she gets all the info on his she has she needs to give it to her parents and the police.....this way if the police get involved they can catch this predator by using the computer to lure him in and get him on the computer.....I know this is a scary situation but its so common on the Internet that's why u have to be careful about who u get involved with....they also have a website called perverted justice.com which is a website that catches these losers...i would suggest u go to the website and let them know the situation.....and again its very very important that u let ur parents the police and the website administrator take care of this problem for u dont take matters into ur own hand we dont want u to get hurt.....good luck and dont be scaried to tell ur parents thats what they r here for to take care of us even when we get older....

If someone is harassing you and you want to get rid of him then I suggest that you block the person by listing his or her name in the "Blocking People" box at the bottom of the Privacy page.

How do I block people?

Simply list the person's name in the "Block People" box at the bottom of the Privacy page. Select the "Search" button to perform a search for the person. Find the desired person from the search results and select "Block Person."

Call the police. Most police departments have a cybercrime unit nowadays. Yes, they may tell the parents but having her parents in her business is much safer for your cousin than possible stalking and abduction. Take this seriously. These people are pervs.

what I would do is delete whatever account he knows and make a new one. but don't put your real name on it. Just add back the people that you know Hopefully, he didn't hack your computer and stuff. If he finds your cuz again then you would probably have to scan your computer for any foreign or ad-ware on your computer.

She needs to tell her parents. Who cares if she looses MSN if her life is in danger! Get mom and dad involved. That sounds really scary.
