I have been searching in vain for DSL service for many months. Ive tried services such as Verizon and Earthlink, yet for some ungodly reason it isnt available in my area. My current internet provider is AOL and even they can't offer me anythingold dial-up. I have no idea why its like this. I'm hurting here, to download a five minute song it takes between 20-30 minutes. I live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, its not like I';m in boonies or anything. Its looks as if cable internet and dial-up is the only two options. I'm in need of divine intervention.....

I would like to surprise some people I knew from the past, by e-mailing them. But I don't know their number, address, and don't have any other way to contact them. The only thing I know is their full names. I do believe they have computers and internet access. So I was wondering if there's a way to find out their e-mail address. I mean, if we can find some phone numbers in the yellow book...why not use the same method to find e-mail addresses? I guess...right? Well, if you or someone you know can answer this question for me, please do. Thank you.

Hey does anybody or anyone here know where can i find a freebie

It's a Dell Latitude running XP. Right clicking to "View Available Wireless Networks" shows it connected but says its not; it also offers a "disconnect" button rather than a "connect" button, again showing that it really is connected but the bar icon is red-x'd and the pop-up says Not connected. I don't get it . . . Never happened like this until about a week ago. . . .

I was told of this one website where you ask any question, and it answers, and it's like "ask" and there's a name so it's "ask ______" Anybody know what it is?
and to ask, you enter something like a "petition" and then you ask the question and you say "_____ please answer" or something

I want to buy somethin of Ebay but have no money in my PayPal account.I have the money in my bank account and my bank account is activated with Paypal.So if I bought it will Paypal just take the money out of my bank account or what.I dont have a credit card activated with Paypal,Is this nessecary.Thanks

I have a dial up connection. These days when i connect to the net
using windows network connections i get 3 errors. This is indicated in the
status bar.I get the connection established but the data is not recieved. Ocassionally it goes at a steady rate of 3kbps(just once in a blue moon). Else no results. Is it a virus or a spyware,help me

And why are my "Use Current", "Use Default", and "Use Blank" buttons greyed-out in the menu?? I have up-to-date Windows and the newest Internet Security software, so I would hope that a virus/trojan couldn't have slipped past.

I cannot type in the bar to put the homepage, either.

Anyone have any idea as to what I can do?

they just pop up whilst im using internet explorer, im using google pop up blocker but it doesnt help.. ive used lavasoft ad-aware se but they still pop up... help!!!
