And why are my "Use Current", "Use Default", and "Use Blank" buttons greyed-out in the menu?? I have up-to-date Windows and the newest Internet Security software, so I would hope that a virus/trojan couldn't have slipped past.

I cannot type in the bar to put the homepage, either.

Anyone have any idea as to what I can do?

Either you have Vista and its a technical glitch, or you have some sort of Internet Subscription with MSN, Microsoft, or any of those companys... or... ur IE is corrupted
Go to yahoo.com and on top they will ask or say "Make Yahoo.com My HomePage)

if it works, then its a technical glitch with IE

Yahoo is always changing one of their sites. Look what they are doing to the classic mail. Many are leaving. And they will continue to do so. To please the stockholders and advertisers. But if we the users are not happy and go elsewhere, then what will happen. The advertisers are going to start dropping off. Or at least the big ones. Then the stockholders will notice. They have a new CEO and she thinks this is the way to turn Yahoo around and bring it out of the slump. Well it's not working. Yahoo probably won't maintain 2 homepages, it's too costly.

I also recommend Mozilla Firefox..its much better than IE. I have used it for 2 years with no problems while IE gave me lots of headaches.

I'd have to say go to a different web site, and look around the page for a sign that says "make-----my homepage".
usually in the top right corner.

Mozilla Firefox is the best browser you can use, I downloaded it for free here http://bitly.com/1pk0ifQ

Before I tried a lot of browser like Internet Explorer, Chrome or Opera but for sure Firefox is much better.

Your internet explorer is messed up (very badly). Use Firefox Mozilla instead. Download for free at: http://www.mozilla.com, sorry about your IE!
