id prefer if i didnt have to install any software , im fine with registering an account, but i must have hotlinking (direct linking) and be allowed to upload any file type

www.megaupload.com is great, it allows 500 MB max per file and you don't need to register (but if you want to keep track of your files you need to input an e-mail address when you upload the file).

There's also an inactivity period so if the file isn't downloaded enough in a month then they remove it, so it's best for temporary storage.

rapidshare.de/.com are the most popular i can say. if you have speed internet then i think thats the best. there are also some other sites like sendspace.us and depositfiles.com and many other..
sendspace used to support download manager for free donno wats the thing now... i prefer to use rapidshare and egoshare.com
egoshare has no waiting time and download limits.. so u can use that, i hope u ll enjoy it.
