follow the steps

->clear the history contents,cookies,temporary files
->cleck the ip address of ur net
->goto command promt,type
ping 'ur ip address' -t

if net is all right u will get
bytes=32 ttl<1ms 64 bytes

if this is not comming then,
call ur administrator
-------------------------------------------------
u can also try this too...

1.check ur modem with another system with the dial up conn same as ur's

this point ensures u that ur modem is functioning properly or not..

2.open ur cabinet,remove ur RAM and fix it again inits original position

there is no theoritical reson in doing this but trust me this many times fixed the problems!
---------------------------------------------
if ur not satisfied then do this

1.remove all the connections
2.unistall all the softwares and components
3.format all ur drives
4.change ur os

formating and reinstalling removes all the errors..since the speed also depends on the age and quality of ur os,..

if u donot find any improvement still then,u can understand two things!
--------------------------------------------
a)no problem with ur pc and modem
b)problem lies with wiring and ur connection provider!

call ur connection provider

i hope my ans satisfied u

my suggestion stick to brodband

i wish u all the best!!!

Go for a broadband connection! I encountered almost the same kind of problem, while I was net surfing with a dial up connection.
I am not an expert to give you a complete comment about this but one thing is sure, it is much faster, cheaper and you rarely get problems of the type you mentioned.

Sounds more like a phone line issue to me. If possible, try hooking your modem up to another phone phone outlet to see if you get the same result.

It would be a great help to let us know what the 3 error messages say...

And what your modem speed is set to.
