Internet - January 2007

Hi, im building a web page and just wonder what others think of it. Please tell me. The page is http://www.geocities.com/roguemat/rogu3army.html
its still very unfinished and even the one menu button is different cuz i was seeing which looks better.

i got an 2mbps connection , but my download speed sucks it reaches only 40kbps , but if i add some more downloads they are also downloading at 40 to 50 kbps , i want know , whats happening ? is that possible to download a single file at high speed like above 200kbps ? please help me , im not a geek , so please explain me in detail . thank you

if you just have a cell and no home phone and want to get a computer how do you run internet? can you run it through cable dish or satillite?

Having nothing better to do during the winter season, I'd like to know if there is a way to make some money on the internet without having to make any prior financial investments. I'm retired too, so getting a job isn't really an option. Thanks for any help in advance.

I put a jacket up for sale on ebay- high end brand, retails for $400, never been worn. I set the starting price at $100 and no one has bid. I have 10 people watching it and have had lots of questions about it. Should I lower the starting bid price or wait? There are four days left in the auction.

There are several people and companies as well that are using my internet without permission. They are running webcam services, streaming videos, and all sorts of things which are clogging it up and ruining my personal internet experience. This angers me. I want them to stop using my internet without permission. I've tried to go on stickam and tell several of them nicely to get off my internet, and what do they do?

They ban me.

Seriously, the nerve of some people... it's just unbelievable. First, they use MY internet without permission then they have the nerve to ban me from MY own internet. It's ludicrous. Would these people in their right minds break into somebody's house and start partying? What makes using my own internet without permission any different?

Anyway, as you can see I am very frustrated about this matter especially due to the price I must pay for my internet. I am tired of extra things that I don't need clogging it up and people using it without permission.

I saw like 2 minutes of it on Fox News San Antonio the night either before or after New Years. It was these kids singing about what happened in 2006 to the tune of Jingle Bells. It had like photographs of the kids and then these fake bodies. My God, I've been wanting to see it. But I can't see it on Fox News or on YouTube because I forget the name of it? HELP!

I put X's in the Adress 2 box when I am ordering something online, for the shipping address. This supposedly helps prevent hacking because they can change it that way and have it sent to them instead. Anyway, will putting X's there mess them up and make it hard to read the address for the post office?

Right now I have earthlink but they are charging me 21.95 for dial up. I saw yahoo has high speed for 14.95. So I checked out pcpeople, netzero .....they were all cheaper then earthlink and supposidly(?) faster. Any suggestions?
