Depends on what state you're in. Usually the best way is to call your local law enforcement agency.

You most likely will not be able to find out if there is a warrant by contacting the authorities ie. sheriff's office (unless you go in person and turn yourself in) I am a bail bondsman. Where I live, people are always curious as to whether they have an outstanding warrant. There are basically two scenarios that you could be dealing with....... 1) This is a possible new charge, which has not been filed. In that case, you probably would have to know someone on the inside before you could find out. (since this is only public record AFTER charges have been filed OR 2) This is a warrant issued for failure to follow rulings in a previous charge, IE. failure to pay a fine, failure to appear for court appearance, etc.. In that case, you or someone else should be able to retrieve that information from the court clerks office. P.S. The internet search idea won't work if this is the first scenario, since the charge has not been filed.

Go to the Henry County website (http://www.henrycty.com/), click on Directory of Services/Search, then scroll down to W and click on Warrants, Arrest.

Go to the local police station in Henry County, go up to the counter and say "Hi, I'm [insert name here]. Do you happen to have any warrants for my arrest? Just curious..."
