Internet - November 2006

Looking for some easy arcade style shooter games to play with a friend online or perhaps with some kind of system where our computers talk to each other directly over the internet while we play.

Something like a tank combat game, or maybe flight combat, or space war, whatever. Where we can both play from home, but still shoot at each other. Even a couple of smiley faces shooting at each other in a maze, like the old MIDI Maze, would be cool.

ok a lot of my friends have been getting their profiles hacked into and they are sending people links to porn and stuff in bullitins.. so do you know why this is happening? and how can i prevent my profile from being hacked into? if you want to check it out its, www.myspace.com/klinkerbell

It says 'privacy alert' and has a warning that 'these porn pictures have been found in your internet browser cache' - and SHOWS them! I really would like to make sure these don't come up when my 9 yr old is innocently going to her approved sites! I'm fairly new to the internet world at home, and wonder is this a worm or spyware? Can anyone tell me how to eliminate it? My virus protection has not detected it, and the address that is linked to it in the bar at the top doesn't pull up anything when I try to open it back up after closing it. . .
What to do?

guyz, i have a problem. There is this flash file on the main page of www.ufone.com (the one playing music)
i need that file for a presentation. The thing is that i m able to download the file, but it doesnt run like it does on the website. Can anybody download that presentation, check if it is running and mail it to me plz at patriot_syed@yahoo.com

Or can someone tell me the way to get that flash file in running condition.

I have an 11 year-old daughter. She recently signed up for gmail. When I looked at her account, she had hundreds of SPAM messages - meaning she had gone to some sites which recorded her email address. While she did not receive any really bad SPAM messages, it was a call for me to let her have access but in a protected manner. She got messages that contained things like "How to pimp out your cellphone" which I think are innapropriate for her.
How can I set up an email account for her that will protect her? How can I prohibit her from accessing certain sites? She share a computer w/ my wife so I don't want to 'restrict' my wife - LOL. I am willing and will talk to her (already have) about not visiting sites w/out my approval but she's growing up and I want to learn to use the internet w/out too much fear. I realize I can't protect her 100% but should I use a filter, etc?
