Yes & No when i had a profile there i went to a sent invite from a lady that turned out to be a sex bot and when i clicked the profile it installed 7 virus on my PC that i had to wind up wiping clean and start all over to get them gone.If you set it up for only people you know to send you mes etc then yes its ok but be carefull,Virus are nothing but codes and myspace deals with codes

It's only as safe as you want to make it. Myspace is safe if you don't provide your personal information on your homepage. When signing up, provide the minimal. When you start your page, don't go and put your phone number and address on there. There are a lot of cooks out in this world, not to mention a lot of crooks.
Myspace is a lot of fun and a great way to talk to people you haven't talk to in a while that you are interested in hearing from. Try it out, you'll love it.

It can be safe if you use common sense. Don't post any real info about you. Don't post pictures of you or your friends. Don't post the name of your school or family members.
Create an online persona of yourself (without real photo or name). That's a good way to mask your identity.
Don't respond to any emails or invites from people you don't know.
Restrict access to your page to only friends you invite.

As long as you don't give out secret information like where you live and personal info, it it. But unless you just have this desire for new friends and the constant wanting to update your page, you might as well not.

it depends on who you let view your profile, and what kind of information you put on your myspace page. be careful who you talk to and be careful which links you choose to click because there are viruses going around on myspace. although most of them are pretty harmless, they are annoying.
