so latley the speed for the internet has been much slower than it ever was before. the internet connection says my speed is 54.0 which ithink is good and the connection says Excellent. I am on a laptop with wireless internet that is in my house- on a different level , but the connection always says very good or excellent. However the speed has been so much slower loading the webpages or going from one website to the next. I deleted cookies, scanned for spyware- everything came out clean. I have plenty of space on my hard drive, and nothing illegal is downloaded or anything running on the comp that would make it slower. The computer itself is very fast, however the actual internet web pages are very slow. Can anyone help me make it very fast again? without having to buy anything? anyone know how to help me? thanks i rly appreciate it

I seem to remember hearing / reading that it may have originated from America. My friend is now working in Bourges, France and their town motto is "Ville internet" but he can find no visible evidence of much use of internet, mainly based on not being able to find interent cafés. I suspect they may all have bband at home and hence don't need cafés (as is the case in my home town, Grimsby, UK) where there isnt an internet café at all -to my knowledge'.

This is now challenging my thought it may be American. Also it has now become a bit of a personal mission to figure it out. Any pointers greatly appreciated.

I was thinking of making a website that allows users to review our local pubs (abit like dooyoo or ciao but at a local level).

If people give a pub a bad review the pub obviously isnt going to like it.

Is there any legal implications I should be aware of in letting people do this? As it is there opnion and not the opinion of the website.

Could I get into trouble?

im using a router with my cable internet connection and it seems to lose connection alot.it also runs kind of slow. when i use the router connection from my neighboors next door it runs alot faster, pages load faster. i have a secure connection, the nextdoor one doesn't. what the hell is wrong?
