Does anyone know where I can get a completely free domain name? .org is fine, but I would really like to be able to have a FREE (legal) .co.uk or something like that.

No you have to pay - but shop around and you can pay annually or 2 yearly or even longer and get a domain cheaply .biz are usually the cheapest. you can get amazingly cheap ones at registrars in Eastern Europe. My email is on my website - email me for info on domains and space.

You can get a free domain name from Dot TK. All you have to do is enter the domain name you want e.g. www.mydomain-name.tk and click on next. It entiltles you to: URL Forwarding, Email Forwarding, and Traffic Management.
If you pay USD6.95 a year you get the aforesaid plus: Free Banner removal, Legal ownership of your domain, Dot TK DNS Service, Your own DNS Hits counter, and Banner Marketing. Check it out on the source address below.

there used to be a company called freenetnames before but i think they went bust
try 1 and 1, they do co.uk domains for £2 a year (just domain, no webspace though for that price)

You can get a free hosting space but you cannot get a free domain name. some hosting provider do give domain name free with hosting package.

.tk is free and also freewebs.com appears to be a good host/domain.
