Internet - September 2006

I just added 1G of memory to my computer and now I can not get logged onto Yahoo Messenger. Are we having problems with it again. I went to the help site and tried all the tricks, but still no luck. Can someone help me?

I downloaded Limewire and it took over my computer!!!! I have uninstalled it but i keep getting sooo much pop ups they just dont stop and my computer is running so slow!!! Please someone help me!! I have no idea what to do?? Can i do a system restore!?!?!

My computer gets hang up all the time. One of the tips I get when troubleshooting is to download a fix that yahoo has created to help this problemk. "If you are running Yahoo! Toolbar, download a fix." How do I do this? (I have allready checked the computer for viruses, spyware etc etc...) Please help!!! Thanx a bunch..

I was in the military, as was my dad and my two brothers. Because of this, I enjoy the military rooms on yahoo.

A few nights ago, I started using a mic in the rooms. I went into one room and asked (thru my mic) "are there men in here who would be interested in chatting?"

I was immediately told that I was not wanted in the room and to go away. I was cursed at (I didn't curse back) and chopped to "bits." (by thier words)

Maybe they thought I was a talking "bot." I have no idea what happened, but i actually had a bit of a problem going to sleep that night because I couldn't believe that people could be so rude!

I am not a young kid, nor am I elderly (although some of the "young" kids might think I am)

I was just curious if any of you have run across this and what you did.

Any similar stories out there?.(I am not looking for advice...just your stories).

(And as a side note, I have been online since 1996, so I am NOT a newbie to chat.).

In the film 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', there's a strange looking aeroplane which appears near the end of the flim (the scene in which someone gets hit by that plane's propeller). I have since learned that that type of aeroplane was merely an invention of the film makers. None-the-less, l would still like to see a picture of it. Does anyone know whereabouts on the net where I could find a picture?

I bought a new laptop and it automatically connected me to a wireless network, the network says : this network is configured for open access, so i don't know if i'm allowed to use it or not. I don't want to use it if it's illegal, but it sounds like it's a network anyone can use......

When spam email has a graphic or text that looks like a graphic box - if you try to copy / paste it sometimes all you get is a lot of words. Random real words that make no sense.
What's happening? How is this done and why ?

A friend of mine has a tmobile phone, and sometimes he cannot be reached by internet, so he said to go to t mobile .com, and text his phone...
there are so many titles, headlines, I dont know which one to go to in order to send him a message on his phone, and I dont have yahoo messenger...
