I'm only going to be using it on occasion, not for anything wild...just yacking to my sisters etc. What's a good one that's not high-end...how cheap can I get away with and not have it be useless? Would like to buy it online now...thanks.

Logitech I think is an excellent provider for technical stuff! If you have a laptop, you should get a camera that snaps on the top of the monitor. I have a Logitech Orbit Sphere you can move around from the computer with a rotateable lens and stuff. Get a Logitech quickcam pro with an integrated microphone.

Logitech! Big performance for little bucks! Ive been through a dozen of them and logitech is far superior to cams in its price range!

There isn't a lot of difference in web cams unless you go to the high end cams.
Go for price and if you have XP, make sure it says on the box that it will work with XP.

Logitech is a good one. Walmart sells them. Not too expensive.
