I have a friend who's a member of mason, i appreciate him very much of his very graceful movement and the way he talk to others. I want to be like him or if ever better upgrade my attitude towards others.

I am a Master Mason in American Co-Masonry, a rather esoteric Order that admits women as well as men. I will only speak about what I have experienced.

Freemasonry aims at working on yourself, to become a better person, to treat both king and commoner on the Level, to hold yourself and your conduct upright as a Plumb Rule, and to deal Squarely with people in general.

I have experienced no other Path that has put so many good people in touch with so many other good people. Although there is no dogma, we find ourselves gradually changing for the better. Our hearts open to own fellow beings. We are far from perfect but we believe that we are perfectable.

I have found that I am working hard to clean up all my dealings with folks. Likewise I am stimulated to be more charitable, both in money and in attitude, toward Masons and non-Masons alike. My rather cynical daughter (23 yrs old) has noticed a difference in me. That says something.

You get out of Masonry what you put into it. I drive about 800 miles each month to go to the two Lodges I am active in. Yes, I still have a real job, but I am being of service and the positions I hold have been of service to my development. In one Lodge I am Almoner. I check to see how the other Brothers (we even call our female members "Brother") are doing, if they need anything; and check where we can best help society. Example: we help support a woman's shelter right now. In the other Lodge I am Secretary. I have to send out notices of the meetings and keep Lodge records. Now, I have had a tendency to withdraw a bit from the world. Can you see how having to phone Brothers and to write to Brothers has pulled me back into the world?

Feel free to write to me, click on the link below to read more about American Co-Masonry, or best of all, ask you friend about joining. Ask him what it has done for him.

Whatever your Path, thank you for asking.

One thing I will say is that the Masons claim to take a Good Man and Make him better. I know there will be others to answer this, and many will tell you it is satanic, and things of that nature, but I urge you to research it for yourself. Remember 2B1ASK1 Good luck :D
