I have had nothing but problems with my Yahoo Messenger. I uninstalled it, and installed Trillion messenger. Works with Yahoo, AIM, and a few more. It doesn't have all the fun stuff, but it serves its purpose, and doesn't take as long to load. Also, since you are having problems logging in, you may have a virus or spyware that hit your Messenger. Try booting in safe mode, uninstall your messenger, then run your anti-virus and spyware programs in safe mode. Make sure you chose the plain safe mode, not the one with network. Just in case your Messenger got hit, use a different user name and password so you won't get visited by the same intruders again. Good luck.

One has nothing to do with the other lol that is like saying "I just added 1G of memory & it started to rain". Yahoo has many servers to cover the millions of users. The server for your area is down so you have to wait for it to come back up. Use MSN as a backup when this happens ;)

hmm. Memory has nothing to do with Messenger. Yes, I think it is down. For me, I can live without it. Can you?

Please tell me you just didn't spend $250 on memory to help make messenger work??

1Gig of memory does not have to do anything with Yahoo Messenger. In fact it should run even faster than before.

Try to reinstall yahoo messenger.

OK Buddy- - - no more Frustrations, here is your solution!

Your 1 GIG was a good move..... Everything else is working ok I assume, if not, you got some bad RAM.....

Ok, if only Yahoo msgr is the issue. do this.

Go to my computer, uninstall it that way......

Then go to iEXPLORER clear out all your files and cookies (must do)

Then scandisk your system go to my computer right click on C: and scan disk it.... then DEFRAG....

Reboot, then download the latest yahoo messenger....

Should work just fine!!!!

If you just replaced memory.
And then after your Messenger doesn't work.
Then, you must be using the wrong type of memory.

Try changing your proxy settings under preferences. If you have a firewall it might be blocking it.
