well i have a dvd burner and when i put in a blanc dvd it recorgnizes it as blank but when i run a program, it gives me a error that enter a writable disc, and i tried dvd+r and dvd-r and so many dvd's, as well lots of program but same error. any setting i need to change?, i recently reinstalled windows xp sp2 and that is when this thing started happening?, any help will be appreciated

i am building an htpc with the main goal being to bhave a rig capable to play flawlesly 1080p h264 encoded files.but i wont mind the game from time to time...
the max lenght of the card cant exeed 250mm du to the silverstone case
so what do you think about it. prices are nearly the same

Though the CD ROM drive is listed in "My Computer" my dvd rom hardware is nowhere to be found. When I click on hardware profiles I can see my floppy disk drive and both of my hard drives, but not my DVD rom drive.

It used to work, now it doesn't and I am fast reaching my wits end.

Hi, my Dimension 2400 currently has 512 MB RAM. I am looking to upgrade it to 1 GB of RAM by adding another 512 MB RAM stick. I am thinking about buying this one:

7800GT extreme edition 256MB PCI-Express.
450 MHz vs 400 MHz standard and
1.050 GHz memory vs standard 1.00GHz.

Quite happy to play HL2 at a decent spec on my 19"ws
& it will run NFS Carbon maxed out and run at 20fps witch looks solid as a rock to me!
But knock the AA down a setting and it will run around 30 and there's no diffarance at all to me.

I order it on the 24/9/05.
Its never been OC'd or messed with! just as it was when it came.

I recently bought the new chocolate from LG, and I installed the music software that came with it. It connects to the computer via usb cable. Ever since I connected the phone (and after I disconnected it), I've been getting a message that says "new hardware found" in the system tray. The phone isn't even hooked up!! It happens every 5 seconds. I've ran virus software, but nothing changed it...it is still happening. Any help is much appreciated!

I have a PC that when I play music the sound only comes from the internal speaker. I have tried changing some things in the device manager but no luck. I have nice external speakers that I want to hear music on but no luck yet. I have an IBM thinkcentre with a soundmax card but someplace in the mix my stereo sound has been lost. :(
I just recently got this PC and my speakers worked fine with the old one so I am sure that it isnt the speakers.

I wanna hook my pc to my tv but on my Nvidia Geforce fx 5900 graphics card it has a weird s-video jack on it (at least i think its s-video) and i cant seem to fit my s-video cable in there. heres a picture of what the jack looks like,

can anyone tell me what kind of cable i need to fit in this so i can hook it to my tv? i really cannot fit an s-video cable in there no matter what way i put it in it just wont go in. I checked with the nvidia website, and i cant find anything about. i really would just like some 1 to tell me what kinda of cable i need so i can hook this to a tv. and if its not for a tv can some 1 please tell me what it is for?

I want to buy a hard drive but instead of installing an internal hard drive i just want to use an external one. can i use an external hardrive as my primary master?

also reason i want to get a new hard drive is becuase when i start my computer it says " SMART failure predicted on primary master " can i fix this instead of having to buy a hard drive?
