I recently bought the new chocolate from LG, and I installed the music software that came with it. It connects to the computer via usb cable. Ever since I connected the phone (and after I disconnected it), I've been getting a message that says "new hardware found" in the system tray. The phone isn't even hooked up!! It happens every 5 seconds. I've ran virus software, but nothing changed it...it is still happening. Any help is much appreciated!

sounds like your driver might not be installed properly. Right click on My Computer, choose Manage. Click the Device Manager entry in the left window and look for anything that might have a Yellow Exclamation mark beside it. Select it, click Delete. Then reboot.

check that the drive is inastalled properly when you connect it to the computer it will say new hardware found. you can even try connecting it then rebooting aka restarting computer while its still hooked up. then unhook it and that messege should go away untill you plug it back in then you'll recieve a messege its found new hardware. make sure you use the same usb port for that device to avoid future messeges.
may even want to try another usb port, you may have at one time used that port for something else and thats why your recieving the messege.

Did you remove the entire sync cable or just choc phone itself? Some sync cable types have active parts in it to cause 'new hardware' message.

It may be possible that you didn't leave the device plugged in long enough for Windows to load the driver for the device. Plug it back in and leave it plugged in for awhile, see if this helps the issue.
