I can open it and see the library, but it freezes right away and I can't click anything not even close it properly. Installed a different version and still the same problem. Any ideas solutions anyone?

The HD requires 20 W (maybe) for the motor & R/W arms? 10 for the CD and DVD? Maybe 10 more for burners? 15 to 25 for the electronics? I've got an Ext USB 3.5 in FDD - 5?

That's a total of 70w. But regular use is the HD & electronics. Why the overkill?

I need a free computer, and please don't tell me that there is no such thing. If you can donate one that would be fine. The reason i'm asking this on short notice is because my sister is very mean (she beat me up once) and she doesn't let me use the computer alot. And my mother lets her do this. I'm trying to be a web designer and having a computer is eccential. I also need it for school. And now my sister has called my mom behind my back while i was trying to get in some free time right now, and told her i wouldn't let her on (which isn't true). Now my mom is going to throw out the computer because she is really mad. Please, please help me and fast if you can. I'm begging you.

A couple of months ago I ran out of black ink but I still had very little color ink. When I changed the black ink it then said I was out of colored ink. at the time I didn't have the money to replace it and I really didn't need to use it. So the new ink cartridge stayed in the printer used until today when I replaced the colored ink. Now there is a problem with the black cartridge. Did it sit too long or is it something eles? I need my printer

microsoft internet explorer encounter problem and needs to close ,i can still go on websites but it keeps popping up but when i try to leave a website to go back to the desk top it want let me it keeps me on yahoo home page , i have to go through stop and restart my computer so i can get off websites , how do i fix this

My laptop is not responding to battery or AC power. The green light on the AC adapter is on, so we know power is reaching the adapter. I've had the laptop for about a year and a half. Lately it's been overheating easily and shutting down, but now I can't get it to start up again.
If anyone has information on how to troubleshoot this, thank you in advance. My warranty on the computer has expired.
I am also looking for a schematic of the Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop, if anyone could give me a link.
