Hi there...depending on what you would like to do there's a bunch of apps available including shareware and freeware.

For professional graphics: Adobe Creative Suite 2;
pro movie editing: Final Cut Pro,
office productivity: Microsoft Office 2004 are some to consider.

What are you into? Do you like graphics, games, video, Internet stuff or maybe music?

I would recommend you getting involved with a local Mac Users Group. There, you will meet many enthusiastic people who would be able to help you with what ever you might want to explore with your new iMac.
