This is fairly common with Explorer 6.0 and earlier. Your Explorer may be corrupted. Try replacing it from the MicroSoft web site or try the new 7.0 version. I ocassionally had the same problem but when I switched to 7.0, the problems went away.
I still get an error once in a great while but, I don't have to restart. Also, Windows ME had a lot of these problems. The Yahoo browser too.
Switch to XP, Explorer 7.0, and replace your Yahoo browser. One of them should make your online life easier and less frustrating.

I get that message sometimes, too. I just click OK and it asks me if I want to send a error report. Sometimes I do send and error report and I keep moving. Sometimes when I send an error report, the web page will change to Microsoft Central telling me this problem has been reported before and no solution has been found for the problem at this time. As long as my computer doesn't crash and I can still work on it, I'm cool. I know, lame but I can't afford to buy a Mac right now.

Try Firefox! It is faster and more reliable than Internet Explorer. I only use Internet Explorer for those very rare websites that require Explorer.
Also, Firefox is FREE and there are several extra features that you can add (that are also free).
Go to the following link...

i think you shud format ur pc and load an anti-virus program ( not Norton cuz it sucks ) ..maybe u shud get Zone Alarm.. you'd have to pay for it but its really worth it
also, the other option is you can download mozilla firefox and use it instead of the internet explorer..so just google search for download-mozilla firefox and use it
all the best

be aware that this caution from avast is not fake, your system is badly infected. i'm using avast for several years. this occurs when a malware successfully infects your computer deeply and now antivirus can detect it, but is not able to handle it. try deleting it (not moving to chest). if this does not work, simply install a fresh copy of your os and right after that, install a firewall (fortknox) then an antivirus (avast). nothing else can help you.
