i turned my laptop on to find that as i'm typing letters, they appear as numbers on the screen. how can this be fixed? the laptop is a gateway and it runs on windows xp. please help.

combination. Deal is I have it hooked up but do not have the software for it. So, the question is....
Do I have to do anything else or is it safe to run it as is?
Computer say's it (printer) may not run properly.
Any extra suggestion's or tip's are appreciated.

I have Fantom Drives 160 GB Firewire Titanium Hard Drive 7200rpm-TFDF16072. Orginally, I purchased it for my MAC. I formatted it on a MAC and used it. Now I want to share the hard drive with my windows computer, but I have a ton of data on there, so I don't want to do anything to risk loosing the data. Any suggestions?

All the contents of RAM is distroyed while the RAM is a volatile memory when the power for RAM is stopped. When we were hibernate the system the applications what we are doing will come back aftr power ON,When the power supply for RAM is stopped then the contents shoul be destroyed.But not done here and the OS will not boot aftr power ON it will automatically comes when we start the system. what is the hidden logic behind that

I just downloaded and successfully installed Ubuntu Linux on my computer today, but I cant seem to connect to my Verizon DSL provider.

I have-

Main Computer
:Modem & Wireless Router w/ Verizon

and Linux Computer
:Wireless Card

I could connect to Verizon before on Windows but I'm not sure on how to on Ubuntu. Help?

Just a few fingerprints here and there. The manual says to use a damp cloth, but I don't find that to be very effective on the screen. I'm very protective over it :)

I got the full version of Power ISO and i copied GTA San Andreas in a .bin format to my desktop, then when i mounted the image and double clicked on the drive the autostart menu poped up and i clicked play, but then it said no cd detected
