I was wondering if it is okay to give out your credit card validation code on the internet. Like if a company asks for that code does it mean it is a scam? I was just curious because I am looking at "at home jobs" and every one I look at you need to enter your credit card information and the V-code. Don't tell me it's dangerous for my credit card stuff on the internet because I already know that but any other help would be great. Thanks

Someone played something on my Realplayer. Now, when I click on it and click on "File", it is on there. I want it OFF. How do I do that? I left my computer unattended and someone watched a movie that I don't approve of. No, it's not porno but I dont want to see it and I certainly don't want my girlfriend to. Any suggestions?

I have a new Dell Desktop PC, when I open my windows I don't need a sign in or password, you just get whatever web you want without having to sign in. My old PC always made me sign in before I could open my windows. I have tried everything tp get them to let me make a new sign and password. I can't use my old sign in or password because it bypassses all sign in window with microsoft.

I know that the Sprint PPc-6700 features Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5 operating system...but from personal experince I have found that Macs dont even recognize/ are not compatible with Windows files.... . So my question is, will I still be able to hook the phone up to my Mac and transfer files and data or is this option only available to people with PCs. People who own this phone or have personal experience with this phone/ products please help!!! I need to know before I purchase the phone. Thanks

I don't get it, my internet is slow, even when I have DSL! When I go to a web site or page, u know how DSL can to that page in 5 seconds right?. but somthing is different , when I go to a page, the page shows up but the pictures, and the rest of the page in it dosen't!! HElp me!!!

Whenever I want to send data from my phone to my PC I have to select 'receive a file' from the bluetooth menu in the system tray to make the PC discoverable. This is just annoying - I want it to be discoverable at all times.

I've already got 'turn discovery on' checked in the bluetooth settings, but it doesn't seem to help....

It's a Belkin bluetooth dongle, if that helps.

This only happens sometimes. Right after I boot up my laptop, I will notice that everything is running extremely slowly. So I bring up TaskManager and look at the CPU utilization monitor and it is pegged at 100%. Then I check the process list and see that wscript.exe is using 99%. It is a standard part of XP. According to the XP book I have, it runs some kind of scripts. I really have 3 questions. Feel free to answer as many as you know answers to:
(1) Is this a known problem and, if so, what's the fix?
(2) Is there a way to find out what script wscript.exe is running and look at it?
(3) Are you having this problem?

My 'puter came with XP already installed- and if I had the time to go to the library now- I'd get the XP for Dummies book (maybe later or tomorrow...) any way- if I restart the 'puter, and say I want to boot from the HD can I install the missing file from there? or should I go in and do a command prompt and type C: and then---> expand sndvol32.ex_ system_root\system32\sndvol32.exe

I just got a bubble down on the bottom of my screen that says my computer is running low on virtual memory. When I hit ctrl, alt, delete it says my comp. is running at about 90% capacity. I have used McAffee to scan for viruses(no results) as well as AdAware and SpyBot for spyware searches(no results) and my comp. is still running extremely slow. What can I do to fix my problem??

I have just set up wireless networking in my home, or at least I thought I had. I have a connection to AOL broadband through my main PC, I have a BT Voyager 2110 modem router connected to this and I am now accessing the internet via my laptop that has an internal wireless card installed. However every now and then I lose my connection, depsite having excellent signal strength and then it says it is acquiring network access and sometimes takes 20 minutes to recoonect - any ideas?
