Bob Bob is on crack...lol Anywayz, on any OS or any major browser, the Auto Complete or Auto Fill forms is what you want to delete. If you're using Safari, here's how:

Safari > Preferences > Auto fill tab > Other forms > Edit
Find yahoo.com in the list, highlight and click Remove, or click Remove All

This will prevent previous searches from showing up in the search bar on the yahoo website. You may also have to delete your history to completely hide your tracks.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.
