First of all, what IS mounting, second of all, I downloaded something, and I need to mohnt it. How do I go about doing that? I downloaded something called "daemon tools" or something like that.

Daemon tools are programs that run in the background and remain running.

Mounting is a main-frame term.
I think that MOUNTING in this case refers to adding the appropriate startup command to the startup folder or batch file, to ensure that the program will start each time the server is rebooted.

What operating system? In UNIX you need to mount filesystems and physical drives so UNIX knew they were there. Probably same here. Let me know.

do you mean mounting an ISO file? I know you can do that under linux, but I'm not sure about windows.

You "run" programs.
