I've got spyware and it won't let me delete it. Is there any way I can disable it?

I really don't fancy a days work re-installing everything after a reformat. I've tried msconfig, it won't let me use it.

What software are you using to detect and delete your spyware? I have had no problems getting my spyware detector/cleaner to work...

I use ZoneAlarm Security Suite... costs $50 but it has Firewall, Virus protection, spyware scanner, and email scanner... I have a link to it on my website:

You just have to explain the situation to the spyware. Trend Micro's Housecall is good at that. And it's free. Good luck.

go online and download a free spyware program like adaware

Have you tried to see if it is a read only file ? If it is a read-only, disable it and then try delete it.
