Computers & Internet - 1 August 2006

I keep getting a bunch of popup ads. In the top bar, it says all of them are from NSIS Media. I ran Spybot, Norton Antivirus, and Ad-Aware, and none of these detected it on my computer, and the popups keep showing up. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? They show up really frequently, and it's starting to drive me crazy.

My laptop had gone out with the so called blue screen of death having the KERNEL_SATCK_INPAGE_ERROR now I don't know how to fix it. I've decided to restart my windows from the time I bought it where I need to install all operating system softwares. Any tips on how to restart it and how can I save all the files in there too?

I am Using Crystal Report Server Xi and Crystal Report. Now i am working in a Company where i have to do web Reporting task only using Crystal Report Server.No programming in this. When i join i think i have to work crystal Report with some programming like Vb or Asp.net. But here they did not want like that. I have downloaded Project 64 emulator and Legend of Zelda Ocrina of Time and Majora's Mask ROM. Ocrina of Time works fine but Majora's Mask is not working. Why? And are there any websites to download a working version of Majora's Mask ROM?

I've got an old SpeedStream modem, a not-so-new Linksys wireless router, one PC running XP, and one laptop running XP Pro. Lately, I've noticed I am loosing my DSL connection often. I contacted AT&T (ISP) and they said it was likely my modem going out. HOWEVER, if I take the router out of the mix, and connect to the SBCIS network, like I did when I first got my DSL 5 yrs ago, I have no problems - - except that I no longer have a home network! Is it a configuration problem, could Linksys be dropping me or could my modem really be that wishy-washy with the router connected?

I consider myself a very BASIC level of this networking stuff...
