I am a long windows user. Recently i am a little interested in Linux, but don't know whcih is better, Redhat, suse, fedora or ubuntu?

Download the Live CDs* from their sites and try all of them. Alternatively, buy another hard drive, make a bunch of 6Gb partitions and install a different one in each partition. When you find one you like, reinstall to the whole drive.

* A Live CD means that the OS is bootable and runs from the CD. Nothing is installed on your hard drive. It is a little slower but you will get a good idea of what each one is like.

Fedora is the best one that I have used. Redhat is the proprietary version of fedora. Ubuntu does not support many types of hardware. So go for fedora

personally i think that fedeora is the best . . but im using mandriva which is the latest . . it is better to use a live cd version before u decide to install linux
